James S. Johnson, M.D., is a board-certified family physician who has been practicing in Crossville since 1998. He graduated from Mississippi State University and then attended medical school at the University of Mississippi. He completed his medical internship and residency through Carillion Health System in Roanoke, Virginia. He and his wife, Susanne have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. They enjoy camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing and other family activities, as well as being involved in a variety of church activities.
Sheila R. Blalock, APN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Sheila worked for many years as a Labor and Delivery nurse including time spent working in the neo-natal ICU in Knoxville after earning her BSN from Berea College in Kentucky. She continued as an L&D nurse during the time that she returned to school to complete her Master’s Degree in Nursing at Tennessee Technological University. After earning that degree and receiving her nurse practitioner’s license, Sheila began working with Dr. Johnson in Family Medicine. Sheila is married to Steven and they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
Yolanda Stone Hohimer, APN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Yolanda began her nursing career working in a pediatric clinic. She then spent several years working in home health services, and in hospital med/surg, telemetry and quality services while earning her BSN from East Tennessee State University. From there, she pursued her Master’s Degree in Nursing at ETSU. Once she completed that program and received her nurse practitioner’s license, Johnson Family Medicine was pleased to have her become part of our work family in 2016. Yolanda is married to Scott and they have one son.
